The Puzzle bottle gathers the whole idea of the brand into a single object. Through its form, surface, name and box, it was designed as a work that begins where the fragrance ends. Here we look closely at the parts that make it.
Form: a three-dimensional puzzle piece
The bottle is a jigsaw piece in three dimensions. The shape is not arbitrary; it is Puzzle’s thought itself: “life is a puzzle, and each of us is looking for our missing piece.” Held in the hand, placed on a shelf, set beside the other bottles, the idea reads by itself.
Surface: patterns evolved from the artist’s paintings
The print on each bottle evolved from Tahir Cengiz Yatağan’s own works. The paintings were multiplied through mirror symmetry into kaleidoscopic patterns. Each fragrance has its own artwork and colours: orange, red and brown for Lal; gold and navy for Fibonacci; green and orange for Purgatory; lilac, blue and green for Sarcastic; ochre, yellow and brown for Daylight.
Name: in calligraphy
The Puzzle Parfum logo and the name of each perfume were designed in hand-drawn calligraphy. In the artist’s words, the lettering was designed uniquely to suit the purpose of the whole, and each name was carefully chosen to fit its meaning in life.
The box
The bottle comes in a black magnetic box, which both protects the object and presents it like a work of art.
When the fragrance ends
All these parts serve one purpose: for the bottle to live on after the perfume is finished. After the last drop, it remains in your space as a sculptural object carrying the memory of the scent.
“When your perfume is finished, instead of discarding the bottle, you can let it speak to your eyes and soul.” — Tahir Cengiz Yatağan
